Guess what happens if you spray boobs in TF2...
I've moved so many timeS I don't think I own anything old. This guy seems to have led a more static life...
While reading a story on this site about rare video games, Tanner Sandlin of Austin, Texas, recognized one of the games -- Air Raid for the Atari 2600. He found the thirteenth known copy of the game in his garage and put it on eBay.
Interesting to see that I still have high end hardware, despite its age, that Win XP is dying off at last, and SLI & Quad-cores are like hens teeth...
Each month, Steam collects data about what kinds of computer hardware our customers are using. The survey is incredibly helpful for us as game developers in that it ensures that we're making good decisions about what kinds of technology investments to make. Making these survey results public also allows people to compare their own current hardware setup to that of the community as a whole.
The beta removes the ancient and to be fair, tired looking interface and replaces it with something that looks 21st Century & lot more Win 7 like...
Multiplayer, browser based carnage...:)
Whilst I love the gaming experience of Modern Warfare 2, which has rekindled my love of FPS, the frankly laughable IWNet online gaming experience with it's laggy, host swapping antics and the double-whammy of no cheat protection or player vote kicking the douche-bags that are clearly hacking - nothing like watching a killcam of a player tracking you through a fence & tree line half way across the map to confirm it.
That being the case, where is the next online FPS, with modern graphics & game-play, with dedicated servers coming from. Looks like I may have found it, Bad Company 2:
of course this looks like another game where EA shoots itself in the foot with ridiculous DRM schemes which punish honest users, whilst the cracked versions work just fine...
The more I use Steam, the fonder I become of it, especially after there very good Xmas sale. It's the whole I want that game and I want it now, without going to the shops thing, although the 11 Gig download of MW2 took a while, even with my connection. Oh, it's also nice on the road to put some of the more modest games they offer on a laptop...
I've been playing a lot of MW2 over the Xmas period and am really enjoying the game, despite the crappy IWNet solution and the huge number of cheating retards. If cheats are obvious, I change server tbh. Anyway, here's a couple of informative videos making you a better player...
If I can be bothered to re-install Crysis, I might have a look at this mod. MechWarrior: Living Legends Website has the beta 1.0 of this Crysis mod which uses MechWarriors, you need the retail version of Crysis updated to 1.21 to play.
