There are several ways to ensure your machine can play most files you can throw at it; codec packs are the simplest. The Mega Pack includes codecs, Real & Quicktime Alternatives (so you no longer need install either of them) and MediaPlayer Classic, the K-Lite is the codecs only with reductions in the number filters as indicated…

Clearly they also provide a Win 7 64 bit version here.

    ATI Support has a hotfix for their new  Catalyst 9.12 drivers for. It apparently

    resolves the mouse being enlarged under Windows 7, improves performance of OpenGL games, Provides CrossFireX support for Eyefinity & Provides support for OpenCL
