This piece of software aims to allow a couple of old (but great) games run on modern hardware/software before the copyright holders gave a cease and desist.  You can run it on copyright free data files as a work in progress using the files on the site here are some videos.

The short version reads:

• Download & install OpenC1
• Download and extract the data folder to openC1, edit the OpenC1Settings.txt to the location you have saved the data.
• Download & install Microsoft C++ runtime, XNA 3.0Nvidia PhysX if not present on your system (I needed the last 2)
• Play.

Of course this is a work in progress and as always there is a better way if you have access to the original games:

Here is what you do to run Full Carmageddon with OpenC1 I run it in Windows 7. First install the game maybe with dosbox, then run the game within dosbox, type in IWANTTOFIDDLE in the main- or race menu. You will hear a wheel screeach or similar when game is done Decoding files. Now transfer your datafolder from installed carma and link it in OpenC1Settings.txt good luck!
