So, there’s an extension to my garage, that is inside the house that we have never really used. The games room has all the crap from the day we moved in that we have never unboxed or used, and the pool room really isn’t big enough for the projector & seating.

The room is slightly wedge shaped, but after I edited this I realised the angled wall is the long one…

This means lots of stud work, electrical work and insulation.
Build.
The intention here was to straighten walls, hide pillars and insulate the bottom end. All the studding was completed on day one, and plasterboard went up wherever we could (i.e. not where cables go) this is what is looked like.
This is last night after I finished fitting the Dado rail. Undercoat is on.
On to the painting, then we have done all the messy stuff ahead of the carpet which comes tomorrow…

OK, time to use it as intended…
The finished room is air-conditioned, with dedicated electrics and audio/visual cable runs. All the walls and ceilings are studded and insulated with carpet running up the walls 1 metre where it stops at a dado rail to deaden unwanted sounds.
