I had call to burn an DVD from an ISO file this morning in order to get a b0rked laptop running.  Windows 7 does not support this natively, and I burn so few CDs these days (the odd album for the car tbh) I saw no point installing a monster bloated package (Nero).  ImgBurn does exactly what its name suggests and is free...

The reviews are mixed, but the words 'big', 'hot' & 'power hungry' appear a lot.  On a brighter note, if money is no object 480 in SLI destroys the Crossfire equivalent from Ati.  Roll on nFinity...

Let's get the hard data out of the way first: 480 CUDA cores, 700 MHz graphics and 1,401MHz processor clock speeds, plus 1.5GB of onboard GDDR5 memory running at 1,848MHz (for a 3.7GHz effective data rate). Those are the specs upon which Fermi is built, and those are the numbers that will seek to justify a $499 price tag and a spectacular 250W TDP. We attended a presentation by NVIDIA this afternoon, where the above GTX 480 and its lite version, the GTX 470, were detailed. The latter card will come with a humbler 1.2GB of memory plus 607MHz, 1,215MHz and 1,674MHz clocks, while dinging your wallet for $349 and straining your case's cooling with 215W of hotness.

I'm a sucker for dual pane file manager programmes, and one of the better offerings, Total Commander has just been updated. I still haven't found the 'one' for me, but this is close:

• Use MLSD command for file listings in FTP function (better time resolution, time in UTC)
• Transfer files between two computers over a special USB cable
• Improvements to synchronize dirs function: Compare via plugins and FTP, options to skip hidden files and hard links, SITE UTIME in ftp sync
• Compare by content now shows different and changed lines with a slightly different background color (configurable via wincmd.ini)
• Unpack directory time stamps from archives
• Lister: Increased maximum line length to 1024 characters (Unicode: 512)
• Verify CRC checksums: Also support CRC files in UTF16 Unicode format
• Show Terminal Server and Win7 XP mode drives in drive dropdown list and drive buttonbar
• Ctrl+Shift+B and cm_DirBranchSel shows branch view of only the selected dirs+files
• F5 copy dialog: "Options" dialog extension can be pinned now to remain open
• Show progress dialog box when reading a directory takes longer than 5 seconds
• Create CRC checksums: support subdirectories (recursively), background button
• Handle dir space calculation in background (when user presses SPACE or Alt+Shift+Enter)
• File system plugins: Support background downloads and uploads (requires changes to plugin)
• Various new background operations: Unpack: RAR, TAR, packer plugins (needs modification), Pack: TAR, packer plugins
