A large part of the attraction is to gain some of the titles, figuring out what you do for what you get isn't so simple, but there is a nice page which takes the pain out of it...

Whilst I love the gaming experience of Modern Warfare 2, which has rekindled my love of FPS, the frankly laughable IWNet online gaming experience with it's laggy, host swapping antics and the double-whammy of no cheat protection or player vote kicking the douche-bags that are clearly hacking - nothing like watching a killcam of a player tracking you through a fence & tree line half way across the map to confirm it.

That being the case, where is the next online FPS, with modern graphics & game-play, with dedicated servers coming from.  Looks like I may have found it, Bad Company 2:

of course this looks like another game where EA shoots itself in the foot with ridiculous DRM schemes which punish honest users, whilst the cracked versions work just fine...

To be honest, anyone using IE 6 or 7 should be banned from owning a computer...

Google has begun to phase out support for Internet Explorer 6, the browser identified as the weak link in a cyber attack on the search engine.

The firm said from 1 March some of its services, such as Google Docs, would not work "properly" with the browser.

Just when you thought your Quad core processor was man enough, it appears we are 2 months away from chips with 6...

Three processors from AMD, the Phenom II X6 1075T, 1055T and 1035T, will each adopt a 45nm process. AMD will also launch the quad-core Phenom II X4 960T alongside the six-core models, the sources noted.

We will not be able to provide F1 coverage in high definition this year. The BBC relies on Formula 1 Management (FOM) for the provision of all of its live pictures and as such the broadcasting of high definition pictures is dependent upon whether FOM uses HD cameras or not.

Argh!

Given the lack of impact the giant iPod has had, no surprises the jokes are here...

The Giana Sisters was a brilliant Amiga game (Mario clone) which some people have resurrected.

Well the name is not a surprise, and neither is the form factor, it's a giant iPhone...

It sports a ten-hour battery life and packs a 1GHz Apple A4 chip, said by Jobs to be "screaming." The hardware includes an accelerometer, compass, speaker, 8-02.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1-- accessories include a keyboard dock that plugs at the bottom.

The 3G models will be unlocked, with AT&T offering two contract-less data plans in the U.S.--250MB at $14.99 a month or unlimited at $29.99.

All iPhone applications, such as games, will be compatible with the iPad, playable in a boxed window or full-screen through pixel-doubling. "It just works," says Apple.
