teracopy3Faster, smarter and more informative than the standard File Copy/Move dialogue and bringing Win 8 features to Vista and Win 7 (It also works on Win 8), oh and free…

  • Copy files faster TeraCopy uses dynamically adjusted buffers to reduce the seek times. Asynchronous copying speeds up the file transfer between two physical hard drives.
  • Pause and resume file transfer activities Pause the copy process at any time in order to free up system resources and continue with a single click.
  • Error recovery In case of a copy error, TeraCopy will try several times to recover and, in the worse case scenario, will simply skip the file, not terminating the entire transfer.
  • Interactive file list TeraCopy shows the failed file transfers and lets you fix the problem and recopy only the problem files.
  • Shell integration TeraCopy can completely replace the Explorer copy and move functions, in turn enabling you to work with files as usual.
  • Full Unicode support.
  • Windows 8 x64 support.

I’ve always liked the look of barcodes, no idea why! Any how I wrote a small clock that uses UPC-A codes to display the time, you can see this most easily where the seconds change to the right.  The text below shows it in plain to you can actually use it to tell the time…:)

A revision to the look and size of meters again, I didn’t like the grey bar much in 2.0! The suite features aero blur so will match colour with your current desktop theme as well as a host of changes, improvements and additional skins.

You need to install Rainmeter’s current beta (2.1 r895 or better) which can be found here. Link

An update to my Rainmeter skins intrucing some changes and tweaks.  It is the result of an experiment with some skin code that reminded me of the explosives planted in the bar scene from Tron Legacy which I watched on Blue Ray recently. These are the results, now with 5 colour variations – middle mouse button to toggle.

I’ve spent a fair amount of time getting my head around Rainmeter and the creation of various skins, I’m gradually improving them as I learn new tricks & techniques and they are getting downloaded a reasonable amount over at DeviantArt.  The last few days I’ve been working on actual buttons as opposed to images pretending to be buttons…

One of the nicest things about my phone is the cool interface HTC provides.  If you use Rainmeter and this skin you can have them on your desktop too…
